No Soap: 8/23/14

Listen, my children, and you shall hear ... of my soap making experiment gone horribly (stenchtastically) wrong! I guess that's why they call it an experiment. We try something without knowing the outcome. 

My conversation this week with Kari Chapin made me think a lot about how our creative impulse is a response to that nudging from the Divine to make something ... to make a difference, make something of beauty, to make change in the world. 

My prayer for you this week, is that if you try something new and come up with no soap as I did, that you remember that the creative impulse is never extinguished. We always have a chance to make something new, dream something better, to be and feel and experience more. And to do it in love.
