Prepare to Receive: 2/1/18

One of wisest things we can do when setting an intention is to prepare to receive the good we intend for ourselves. That might be as simple as leaving a little gift to find later or setting out your journal and pen the night before so that it's ready in the morning.
This small action ... preparing to receive ... amplifies our intentions. It also reminds us to move forward with love and compassion for ourselves, no matter what challenges we are facing.
In this audio, you'll hear more about this powerful practice. There's also news about the Meet Your Guides class (it's this Saturday!), the February online gallery reading (2/10) and the coupon code for your 20% session discount.
My prayer for you this week is that you honor yourself and your path enough to spend a moment preparing a gift. Allow yourself to experience receiving, and watch how it opens you up to abundance and to Spirit.
With love,
Karen

I like this podcast because I have never thought of receiving a gift for myself. I'm very good at giving others gifts, but usually don't give myself anything. This reminds me of a gift my brother--Rick gave to me. It was a book about a little girl who was always giving things to everyone. She doesn't think anyone is even noticing what she's been doing, and then when you turn the last page over it says---I have noticed you always giving to others, and I appreciate your loving heart and---I have noticed that special gift. I still have that book Rick gave me and sometimes when I am feeling depressed and lonely I get that book out and read it to remind myself that Rick noticed that I gave freely to others. So I haven't set an intention for this New Year, but I am going to write one good thing about myself every day. Thanks for sharing this information about being opening to receive a gift for myself.
