Purple Shirt Principle: 6/23/14

We're getting ready for our annual family cross-country trek to California, and I've apparently become a bit too tyrannical about the pre-trip wardrobe rules. My youngest son (once again) shows me the error of my ways. 

So often we put off doing something that will bring us joy ... even something as simple as wearing a favorite shirt ... because we think we'll be happier or more joyful at another time. By delaying gratification this way, we miss a chance to do something loving for ourselves, and it can constrict channels for abundance and ease in our lives.
