In this Out of the Fog Minute, I share my frustration with that teaching. We are not perfect. And waiting for things to be perfect before we take action can lead to a lot of frustration ... because you'll be waiting a long time!

Under the Weather: 2/22/14

Winter getting you down? In this Out of the Fog Minute, I talk about ways to create better "inside" weather ... no matter what's happening outside. When we find ways to activate sacred space around us and inside us, it allows us to access resources to respond from a place of love and ease in any circumstance.

Happy New Year! In this Out of the Fog Minute, I talk a little bit about how our fear of making mistakes can stifle us ... and even make us sick. I also share a snippet from a blog post by Neil Gaiman that I hope inspires you.

The Longest Night: 12/21/13

As the nights lengthen and winter descends, this can seem like the coldest and darkest time on many levels. For some the holidays which are supposed to bring joy can trigger feelings of loneliness or sadness. For others the sense of waiting for something to happen ... whether it's for the new year to begin or for new opportunities to arise ... can lead to feelings of frustration or stuckness.

My wish for you this holiday season is that you become aware of the Light that is within you, and that you see it reflected in others. I found a wonderful poem/prayer/blessings written by Jan L. Touchstone: 11/30/13

As I found myself poised with my spoon over the mashed potatoes ... in the same place at the same time as last year ... it made me start to think about those touchstone moments when we can assess where we've been and where we're going. In this episode, I share how my desire to seem cool has led me to needing to make a hat when I have no idea how to do so. Sometimes we are afraid to start something ... even a project undertaken in great love ... because we fear making a mistake.

Going Nuts: 9/21/13

The squirrels are taking over! Not really ... but it kind of feels like that in my neighborhood right now. They're frantically gathering all the nuts and seeds they can for the winter, but their single-minded focus on that goal puts them in danger of being run over by cars or even caught by Pepper the Dog! In this Out of the Fog Minute, I share my musings on how our pursuit of abundance or our goals can get so narrow that we miss everything else that's going on around us. Because all good things ... abundance, love, healing ... come from generosity, a single-minded frantic pursuit of anything won't serve us.
