The Longest Night: 12/21/20
Sunday Dec 20, 2020
Sunday Dec 20, 2020
Every year at this time I share Jan Richardson's poem, "Blessing for the Longest Night." You can find more of her work at https://janrichardson.com and https://adventdoor.com.
The poem seems especially meaningful this year, when so many of us have been going through dark and difficult times. It's also been a time when Light has been especially bright in contrast to that darkness. The ways in which we connect with and support each other, and the times we've been surprised by the depths of kindness (ours or someone else's) can't be overlooked (or overcome) by the darkness.
I am so deeply grateful for our connection during this challenging year. Sending my love and blessings for a joyful, abundant, healthy, Light-filled New Year!
With love,
Karen

Trading Places: 11/02/20

What positive practices can we embrace at a time when polarization, anger, and anxiety seem to be peaking?
In this audio, I talk about a little experiment I'm doing with myself. I think of it as trading places. When I get caught in anxiety, for example, I imagine that I can trade places ... just for a moment ... with the part of me who has time to stop and breathe. This simple swap, which can be accomplished in the space of a single breath, has been enormously helpful.
I'm offering two events this month to help you focus on positive practices and shift perspective. On 11/11, I'm teaching Meet Your Guides online. Tuition is $22. A consistent, compassionate opening to your guides is one of the best ways to feel and know Divine connection in your life. On 11/18, Raven Mardirosian and I are getting together for a conversation about intuition and faith. It's absolutely free to be in the audience for this online event, and we hope you'll join us.
My prayer for you is that you continue to look for the Light ... no matter how sticky and divisive things are around you.
With love,
Karen

Staying Afloat: 9/19/20
Saturday Sep 19, 2020
Saturday Sep 19, 2020
Tired? Me, too. But the world needs your gifts, your healing touch, your Light now. All hands on deck!
So in this Out of the Fog Minute, I'm thinking about the things we can do to stay afloat. How do we stay grounded when it can feel like we're being pulled off course? What keeps us balanced in difficult times?
You'll also hear about the upcoming Tarot-Intuitive Online Gallery Reading I'm doing with master tarot reader Raven Mardirosian on 10/24, and of course you'll hear the discount code for 20% off your private intuitive session with me.
My prayer for you is that you remember that ... in every moment, no matter what's going on ... you are always in Divine Presence. You are never alone, always protected, always connected. We stay afloat through that connection, and through the loving connection we build with each other. May you feel and know that in every breath.
With love,
Karen

Possessing the Present Moment: 7/6/20
Monday Jul 06, 2020
Monday Jul 06, 2020
St. Teresa of Avila said: "Whoever possesses the present moment possesses everything."
In this Out of the Fog Minute, I'll talk about how the (not always easy) return to the present moment can help relieve anxiety and bring us to greater awareness of healing and peace.
You'll also hear how to get 20% off your next private intuitive session with me, and find out about the online psychic development intensive classes that begin 7/28.
My prayer for you is that ... no matter how rough the waves ... you keep riding the breath. Remember to return to the present moment when you find yourself flailing. May you be at peace, may you be free from fear, and may you know that you are dearly loved.
With love,
Karen

Tight Squeeze
Saturday May 16, 2020
Saturday May 16, 2020
Someone asked me the other day, "How can anything good come out of these frightening times?"
I believe that these are the times when the most good is possible ... when the good people come out of the woodwork ... when our call to service, to healing, to love, is impossible to ignore.
Thomas Merton said:
"The tighter you squeeze, the less you have."
His words remind me that when I grab fear and pull it close to me, when I become rigid with stress and self-righteousness, I am missing the opportunity to receive and create more.
More goodness, more love, more healing. More prosperity. More change. More peace.
You'll get the discount code for 20% off a private session. I'm teaching the Heart of Abundance class live on Sat. 5/23, updated with new material for this time that tempts us to grab scarcity and hold it tight.
My prayer for you this week is that you are safe and well. That you know there is always more love, more connection, more opportunity for you ... and that you feel Divine Presence with you in every breath.
With love,
Karen

Big Wave! 3/16/20
Sunday Mar 15, 2020
Sunday Mar 15, 2020
We are living in interesting times. A big wave is washing over us, and we are invited to choose how we will ride our own, smaller, waves as we navigate this time of transformation and change.
In this audio, I talk about blessing the parts of us that move into fear and the parts of us that expand and open to compassion, growth, and change.
You'll also hear about the upcoming Meet Your Guides class on 3/18 and some changes to my session schedule. You'll also get your coupon code for 20% off a private session of any length.
My prayer for you is that you ride this wave with grace, with protection, with balance, and with the knowledge that you are loved. May your guides, your intuition, your deep and unshakable connection with Source be with you always.
With love,
Karen

Cranky Thanksgiving: 11/20/19
Wednesday Nov 20, 2019
Wednesday Nov 20, 2019
Can I be cranky and experience gratitude at the same time?
I offered to host Thanksgiving at my house this year and instead of feeling grateful and delighted, I'm stomping around stressing about whether or not everything will be "good enough" for my guests. But these guests are people who already know me, already love me ... and it is definitely too late to try to impress them.
In this Out of the Fog Minute, you'll hear my musings on the gentle juxtaposition between crankiness and gratitude. There is an open invitation to bring compassion and lightness into the mix, so that Spirit can meet us where we are.
You'll also get the discount code for 20% off your private intuitive session and delight in the announcement of the Tarot-Intuitive Online Gallery Reading with Raven Mardirosian that's coming 12/14.
My prayer for you is that you have the courage and compassion to meet yourself exactly where you are ... in imperfection, in crankiness, in not-knowing ... so you can experience gratitude and abundance as a surprising and welcome gift of Divine Love.
With love,
Karen

Be Kind: 10/9/19
Wednesday Oct 09, 2019
Wednesday Oct 09, 2019
I rediscovered a quote from Ian McLaren the other day:
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
We live in divisive times, and it's easy to get triggered into jumping to conclusions about people or ideas on the basis of very little information.
When we make assumptions that way ... which I see as coming from a place of scarcity ... we receive conflict, misunderstanding, and more scarcity in return.
But when we act from a place of abundance ... holding space for each other, listening, understanding there is always more to learn ... we receive insight, deeper connection, and expansive Light on our paths.
You'll also hear about the October online gallery reading (this Saturday!), the upcoming Meet Your Guides class on 10/22, and get the coupon code for 20% off your next private phone session.
