Prayer for Peace: 10/12/15

Feeling overwhelmed by what’s happening in the world? We're exposed to so much war, injustice, greed, ignorance, and violence that it's tough to remember the good that’s happening in equal measure. The truth is that the Light we shine in the world (even if it seems tiny) is amplified and added to what others are doing, and it makes an enormous difference. When we stop doing good, when we stop connecting with the Light ... that makes a big difference too. 

As I was thinking about all this, I found myself writing a prayer. You'll hear it in this audio, and I created a pdf version for you to download by clicking right here.

Freedom to Receive: 8/27/15

We often feel that something or someone is holding us back from being free, from being abundant, from stepping into our real soul path. 

But we can turn that around. 

I’d like to invite you to realize that you are free to receive right now. Free to open your arms to abundance and generosity that is all around you. And that thing you think is blocking you can be the greatest tool to your freedom.

Love's Beginning: 8/07/15

In his book, No Man Is An Island, Thomas Merton says: 

“The beginning of love is the will to let those we love 

be perfectly themselves, 

the resolution not to twist them to fit our own image.”

My prayer for you this week is that you catch yourself trying to twist someone (or yourself) into an “acceptable” form to receive love. Stop that. Remember that you are receiving love, giving love, right now. Let love flow. Let love begin.

Falling Apart: 7/18/15

I returned from a wonderful vacation, ready to roll up my sleeves and pick up the flow of work and family life right where I’d left off. But what I found instead was that things were falling apart around me. 

After a time of transformation, things often seem to crumble. We can’t step back into the old way of being. We don’t align with that any more. 

In this audio message, I’ll say more about that and let you know what choice I made to adjust to the new flow.

Resisting Abundance: 5/26/15

“In time, your resistance will subside. And your allowing will begin.” 

I’m a world-champion resister. If they gave medals, I’d have one. But this quote from an Abraham-Hicks abundance meditation got me thinking. What would happen if we didn’t battle our resistance, but instead allowed it to naturally give way to more openness, more peace, more receiving?

My prayer for you is that you welcome, acknowledge, honor your resistance. Let it be gently moved, replaced by allowing, by abundance, by a greater sense of well-being. Don’t force anything. Honor yourself, your process, and your connection with spirit.

I See You: 5/04/15

I've struggled with my weight all my life. And as I near a milestone birthday (50!!!!!), I realize that I'm carrying a body that is not as strong as I'd like it to be. So I overcame my embarrassment ... my desire to hide ... and started working with a trainer.

She sees me. And in allowing her to do that, I've begun to see the anger and sadness that I hold in my physical body. As I see (and let myself be seen), I can release. That's how I will continue to get stronger.

Look Up: 4/17/15

There is a beautiful spot on my back deck where I can stand and look up at the stars, perfectly framed by the trees around me. When I get caught up in believing that whatever I'm focusing on at the moment (deadlines, struggle, dissatisfaction) is the most important thing in the world, going outside and looking up lifts my spirits and reframes my perspective.

But Am I Free? 3/27/15

I hear so often from people who are feeling trapped. They're in relationships, jobs, holding patterns of pain, from which they feel they cannot escape. 

In this audio, I'll talk a bit about our essential freedom. Freedom no matter what the circumstances are, no matter how bleak things may look. 

When we look at those traps with the awareness of our freedom, we can begin to change the circumstances and end the cycles that are creating so much pain.

My prayer for you is that you connect with the truth of your freedom. From a place of Divine center, look closely at that prison door. It was never locked, and you may step out of the cell at any time.
